Alexis Bruchon

Alexis Bruchon was born in the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes, a unique environment that nurtured his early inspirations. After studying art history in Clermont-Ferrand, then graphic design at the École de Condé in Lyon, he chose to follow his true passion: drawing.
It was this passion that naturally led him to a career as an illustrator. He works with simple tools: Indian ink and watercolor.
Alexis is particularly known for his large, detailed compositions, in which he constructs vast and complex landscapes that subtly blend architecture, silhouettes, and dreamlike cities.
His graphic universe is nourished by numerous cultural influences, Japanese, French, Italian, and Middle Eastern, which he integrates with finesse into his works.
Alexis Bruchon is represented by the Philippe Labaune Gallery in New York.
