Yann Legendre is a French artist based between Bordeaux and Chicago.

His illustration style lies between Renaissance engraving and the contemporary lines of Vector Art.

He is particularly inspired by the universe and compositions of artist MC Escher.

His work has been exhibited in over 25 countries. He received the Gold Medal at the 3×3 Professional Show in New York, the Gold Pencil at the One Show, and the Best Movie Poster Award at the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX. Yann has also taught at IUC – University of Illinois, Chicago.

In 2017, Lucasfilm invited Yann to create a series of 25 illustrations to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars.

His most recent illustrated books include Grimm's Fairy Tales (Rockport), Couture Conversations (Rizzoli), and the monograph À Corps Perdu (Textuel).

In 2019, his first graphic novel, Flesh Empire, was published by Casterman. His second book, Vega, was published by Albin Michel in 2022, followed by Dewi et ses sœurs, also published by Albin Michel, in 2025.
